Carvill, Mac Carroll, Mac Carvill, O’ Carroll, Ó Cearbhaill

 

Historically, there were several septs of Ó Cearbhaill located in counties Offaly and Louth. The name comes from the Gaelic “Cearbhall”, meaning ‘fierce in battle’.
